Srinath started teaching students since 1995 in MD/VA/DC area (Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC states in USA) until 2010. Post that he taught in Bangalore, India briefly from 2012-2015. Lately, he has been teaching in the Bay Area in CA since 2016. His passion for teaching brings in students, who range widely from 5 through 65.
His teaching method lays emphasis on the <em>kannaku</em> (math) as well as the naadham (sound) aspects, while giving students ample scope for manodharma (creativity). Students are encouraged in the early stage, to create their own patterns using simple formulas and pre-defined patterns. This gets the students highly motivated and their deep involvement and love for the percussion grows as they mature to become performers in their own right.
